Multiple Dental Implants
Annapolis, MD

If you have lost all or several teeth due to accidents, injuries, or poor oral health, you want your teeth to look as normal as possible. You want to be able to eat your favorite foods. You want to be able to sing and to laugh and smile. You want to see your teeth look the way they did when you were younger, or before you were injured. Luckily, we can help you get your smile back with multiple dental implants!

Not sure if this is the right method for tooth replacement? We are happy to help you explore all treatment options that might be available to you.

Why Do I Need A Multiple Tooth Implant?

You may think that people get multiple tooth implants because they don't like the way they look without their teeth in place. To a large degree, that's true. People want to be able to look their best. However, there is more to teeth implants than looking good. If you are missing multiple teeth, you cannot chew your food in the same way. You may be experiencing pain along your jaw or in your remaining teeth. You might also have noticed that your remaining teeth have shifted. They might be crooked and harder to clean.

The most important reason you need to get your teeth replaced is to save your jawline. Your jawbone starts to deteriorate without teeth in that jawbone. Over time, your jaw continues to lose bone mass, which could change the entire look of your face.

What Happens During a Multiple Tooth Implant?

Replacing multiple teeth with dental implants is a common procedure. Just like a single implant, we would use our advanced diagnostic technology to first assess the bone to ensure you are a candidate for dental implants and determine any risk factors. If bone grafting is needed for successful implant integration, this will be done as well.

Next, we strategically place dental implants in the necessary sites with the aid our 3D implant imaging software. If you are missing more than one tooth in the same general area, for example 3 in a row, we don't always have to place 3 individual implants. We can place two implants on either side of the empty space and create a 3-unit implant bridge to replace all the missing teeth. We then allow the implants to heal for two to three months before designing your permanent restorations.
