3D Imaging with i-CAT
Dr. Djawdan was the first dentist in the Maryland, DC, VA area to acquisition the digital i-CAT CT scanner and 3D imaging software which makes immediate replacement solutions possible. The Center for Advanced Dentistry is one of the few select dental implant centers in the world to use 3D CAT Scans for diagnosis and treatment planning. It only takes 20 seconds to give us a detailed look at existing teeth, bone, nerves, and tissue.
The 3D CAT Scan and imaging software provides three-dimensional and cross-sectional views that allow Dr. Djawdan to "virtually" prepare your treatment to the greatest detail; you will receive a much safer and more comfortable treatment. Dr. Djawdan will:
- Examine the quality and density of the bone that will anchor the implant
- Determine the precise placement of the implants
- Select the correct type and size of the implants
- Avoid the nerves and sinuses
- And at for less radiation than other CAT Scans.
