Replace Fillings
Let's face it very few people have perfect teeth, free of decay and or fillings. You probably have a few fillings in your mouth. Fillings do not last forever. If you had the filling placed in your teens and your now in your 30's or 40's most likely the aged filling is now defective and leaky. Saliva carrying bacteria is passed into the cracks or defects of a leaky filling, which will decay the tooth structure under and around the filling. Defective and leaky filling often times causes no pain or discomfort that would clue you into the problem until the tooth fractures or you have a toothache. By the time the tooth breaks and or you have a toothache, you could lose your tooth or the tooth will require more extensive treatment will be needed to preserve and restore the tooth. Dr. Djawdan utilizes magnification imaging and digital x-rays to identify leaky and defective filings.
